Our workshops include didactic and practical components developed in partnership with leading surgeons in each specialty, enabling training on the latest advancements in minimally invasive techniques.

Workshop Overview

Training Workshops: Advanced MIS, Single Site, HALS, TAMIS

Each Applied Medical minimally invasive training workshop offers a comprehensive didactic session followed by a hands-on cadaveric or animate tissue session. Our current calendar focuses on single site and hand access techniques for the Colorectal, General and Gynaecologic surgeon, as well as workshops on Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TAMIS) for the Colorectal and General surgeon.

Laparoscopic Skills Simulation Workshops

Applied Medical’s on-site simulation workshops are designed for surgeons and surgical trainees who are interested in enhancing their skill sets and attaining hands-on experience on a high fidelity simulation platform. Faculty will mentor participants on hand access laparoscopic surgery, single incision laparoscopic procedures, TAMIS procedures and/or advanced MIS surgery.

Applied Medical also offers a unique laparoscopic trainer for those wanting to practice laparoscopic fundamentals, such as intracorporeal suturing, or more advanced procedural simulation with lifelike tissue models for Appendicectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colectomy, and gynaecological surgery training.
